On March 2nd, Chef Elena welcomed a group of media and close friends, suppliers to pop by after work for a behind-the-scenes look at her newly opened patisserie in Burnaby.

The drizzle of rain couldn’t keep people away from the bright and inviting glow of Mon Paris Patisserie.   With it’s convenient location off the Skytrain line – and directly across from Metrotown, Mon Paris is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet or savoury craving.

Invited guests sampled a seemingly endless selection of miniature  specialty desserts, macarons, chocolates and savoury snacks from the shops regular menu throughout the event.

In between bites, invited media made time to grab photos for Instagram or blog posts as well as toured the large kitchen where Elena will host various pastry and chocolate making classes on a monthly basis.

This was further complimented by French bubbly and specialty teas served in beautiful China teacups from Elena’s parents antique shop.
